What A Session Looks Like 

Singing or chanting with imitation of hand motions
  • singing assists in gaining attention
  • improves imitation skills
  • stimulates the vagus nerve and assists in calming
Eye exercises
  • works the muscles and nerves around the eye
  • stimulates the optic nerve
  • maintains healthy vision
  • improves ability to control movements and scan smoothly (prerequisite for reading and writing)
Guided deep relaxation
  • assists in remaining still both mind and body
  • calms the body
Breathing exercises: supplies fresh oxygen to the body

  • great coping skill that requires no equipment

Yoga postures
  • improves strength and flexibility

  • improves attention and imitation skills
Closing statements for peace
  • closes the class the same way for routine
  • assists in auditory memory and recall
