Lymphedema is a condition that many therapists have heard of but know little more. In this class you will learn:

* How to differentiate Lymphedema from other types of edema

* The 5 steps of Complete Decongestive Therapy

* Key points of lymphedema evaluation * Labs to practice Manual Lymphatic Drainage and bandaging

* How to refer out to a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Barbara has been certified in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CLT) since 2006 by Klose Training and studied lymphedema in Hinterzarten, Germany at the Foeldi Clinic. She has practices in out patient, in patient and home health settings. Barbara currently has a small group of private clients that require assistance for their maintenance program. This event will provide 6 hours of CE Credit towards license renewal.

Yoga for the Special Child® Continuing Education on Trauma, Sensory Processing and Limited Language. 18 hours of CEU’s approved for International Association of Yoga Therapists, Yoga Alliance,  & American Association of Occupational Therapy.

PRE-REQUISITE: Yoga teacher, therapist,  yoga therapist, medical professionals, teachers, anyone who works with people that have disabilities

CURRICULUM includes:
The traumas impact on development, fight/flight/freeze on sensory processing, and how language can be limited.

Morning practice: participants experience a group class. The use of Pranayama to improve circulation, digestion and sleep. 

Group discussion: definition of stages, building up the right Hatha Yoga class for your students
