Cheryl Albright, OTR/L, RYT-200
Owner & Occupational Therapist
Cheryl Albright grew up with an older brother with autism and an aunt with Down syndrome. She began working with children with special needs through Rotary Camp Onsewaya at the age of 14. She continued through high school and college teaching adapted swim lessons with children with special needs. Cheryl has now been an occupational therapist for 15 years and teaching Yoga for the Special Child® for 9 years. She received her Registered Yoga Teacher training in 2014 and advanced training in adapting Hatha yoga with those diagnosed with scleroderma. Soul to Soul Yoga was created in in collaboration with Yoga for the Special Child® to have a home in the Sarasota, FL, area.

Lisa Stortstrom has taught people in many school settings for the last twenty years, from pre-school Montessori classrooms to regular and special education high-school classrooms. She is professionally certified in the state of Florida in both special education and regular education. Additionally, she completed her training’s and certification’s in both preschool/ kindergarten and lower-elementary levels at the Institute for Advanced Montessori Studies in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Lisa obtained her Master’s Degree at Lesley University for Intensive Special Needs, K-12, with a focus on Autism Spectrum and Pervasive Developmental learning needs. She is currently engaged in Sonia Sumar’s Yoga for the Special Child method. Lisa continues to work toward her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification in Sarasota.
Jai-Lisa Rodriguez, COTA/L
Executive Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, & Yoga Instructor
Jai-Lisa Rodriguez, COTA/L is a Keiser University Graduate, volunteer for the Florida Occupational Therapy Association and continues to work with a variety of diagnoses including Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Dementia, Orthopedic, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Traumatic Brain Injury. She is currently in engaged and trained in Yoga for the Special Child, working with children up to the developmental age of 12. Jai continues to develop her skills in Occupational Therapy and provides continued support for Soul to Soul Yoga as Executive Assistant, Web developer/editor, and marketing/event planning for our CE events.
Kimberly Burns, OTR/L, CLT
Yoga Instructor & Occupational Therapist
Kim Burns, OTR/L, CLT has treated in a variety of populations and settings from early-childhood through geriatrics with acute and chronic diagnoses such as developmental disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunction, orthopedic conditions, sensory integration dysfunction, lymphedema and other trauma related conditions. Along with extensive medical experience and training, she manages her own poor circulation with the simple techniques that she has developed in her practice. Kim earned her Occupational Therapy degree at Thomas Jefferson University in PA, later earning her ‘Lymphedema Yoga for Rehabilitation’ and ‘Yoga for The Special Child’ certification’s in Florida. She has integrated yoga techniques in therapy for over 20 years and has taught workshops and classes for health professionals on self-care strategies, lymphatic techniques for health, yoga sessions in community schools and privately. She has also speaks at community presentations, hosts business and wellness events, and supports local charities. In addition, Kim is part of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce, Occupational Therapy Forum in Southwest Florida and a published author in a local magazine writing about health and promoting awareness of improving health through self-care.
